Making Money with Your Blog!

A place for finding the Nuts and Bolts for Making Money Online with Affiliate Marketing Business Opportunity!

Businesses that are active on the Internet, no matter how large or small, are now starting to realize the importance of search engine optimization. As with almost all things that are Internet related, however, there are a number of considerations to be made which can affect the level of success they achieve. One of the major areas of concern is how to go about finding the best solution for optimizing your businesses' Web presence, and one thing to do this is by giving the art of search engine optimization a try.

You may have already heard some positive details about SEO and what it can do for your site, however you've also probably heard of some sad stories about fast talking, black hat SEO "experts" who assure high rankings but ultimately pass sites removed from the index altogether considering of their shady methods.

Ask The Firm To Give You An Overview Of The Services Offered

Asking your prospective firm what they would be including with their services is a fairly decent question to ask them. While you don't need a complete breakdown of each and every specific detail and plan, however getting a clear understanding of what areas of the site will be changed, how the link building will be undertaken and the fundamental philosophy or approach your prospective SEO company will be taking, are good questions that need to be answered. If some aspect or concern doesn't seem right in what you're being told, it would be good to start asking in one of the many popular forums.

Verify If The SEO "Experts" Could Rank Their Own Site

The first thing you should look for when hiring an SEO expert is whether or not they can rank their own Web site. This may seem obvious enough because some businesses have experienced wasting both time and money on an SEO firm that couldn't, or didn't, get the job done.

Too often when we take a look at the Web site and research their targeted phrases, which are usually quite obvious when you look at the title and heading tags, you may find that they don't even rank for their own phrases.

Evaluate The Guarantees They Offer You

If you have a new site or a site in a highly competitive area and you are told that the company can get you much-improved rankings on Google in 60 days, they're either just telling you what they think will make you sign on the dotted line, or they have no idea what they're doing. In either event you're in for disappointment.

An honest and straight-forward SEO firm will give you realistic expectations, which will generally span over many months and sometimes over years depending on the scope and competition levels involved. If you have a new site competing for moderately competitive phrases, any claims from a company that they will have you ranking high on a search engine in anything less than 5 or 6 months, as even this may be optimistic, are more than likely to be untrue.

To be clear, there are some good SEO firms that don't offer guarantees and there are also companies or so-called experts that do offer guarantees but don't do a very good job. The purpose of asking direct questions to providers however is not to point fingers, but rather to point out what you should expect to happen, and how to be able to differentiate the professionals from the amateurs.

If the 'experts' offer a guarantee, what is it? If the person or company doesn't have a guarantee then what do they have under their belt in the way of reputation? It's a nice thing to ask a lot of good questions first, before signing a contract and placing your full trust on so-called SEO "experts", who may not give you clear guarantees.
